Can anyone explain why the processor relatively fast, RAM also sufficient but yet will lag?

Cos the Global ROM of MIUI got alot of Google Apps and Bloatware.
That's why lag.

If you want it to be faster and more responsive either you use
China ROM or Custom MIUI ROM like MIUI EU ROM which is a Mod of the China ROM removing all the Chinese Apps or use the barebone Lineage ROM.

Lineage FTW! I'm running my Mi5 on Lineage 14 and no regrets

Pros
1) Regular updates with latest monthly android security patches, easy to flash with just one touch from the settings menu

2) Totally lag free

3) I prefer the stock android UI to the MIUI, and Lineage is close to the former with additional features

Cons
1) I cannot use Androidpay (no biggie) and Singtel WIFI

Sibei tempting to try Lineage.
But my Mi VR shipping in progress.
Will Lineage work with it?

Dear almighty HWZ forum circle,

I am interested to buy a Xiaomi Mi 5 Pro (4GB RAM/128GB) version.
However, i heard that it is discontinued.

Where else can I buy one and at a good price?
Is Lazada my only choice?
I fly occasionally to China, should i buy one there?

Thank you!

Hi all.

I have an unlocked bootloader mi5.

Android pay cannot be used.

Is there a workaround? Beside locking the bootloader?

Thanks!

Cos you are not an ****.
Of cos no update.
Must understand the Global ROM is made for ****.

That's why you must change your region to India in order to be able to update.
:s22:

global does not mean global ah? still got singapore global ... **** global ??

In fact most global roms are catered for india market. So they tend to get certain f/w faster or only for them. Thus we have to change region to trick them to push the ota to us.

Hi, does anyone have experience dealing with this seller, or any other recommended place to buy the Mi 5? (Lazada seems to have it around the same price)

Currently looking to grab a set, as the Mi 6 will not have a headphone jack, which I definitely need.

i bought from them, also mi5 at $299

i suggest u check availability of stock before placing order.

i didnt do that and the first time i went stock havan arrived.
but it is no issue for me as my workplace near.

also, i read reviews abt it being Global Beta, instead of Global stable.
i dunno if it would be a issue for u.
for me, i m not phone expert so i dont know what it means and dont care as long as i can operate this gadget in English.
