Mi A3 feels like a token gesture from Xiaomi just to satisfy their annual quota for being part of the Android One program.

Maybe they want to sell the cc9e design after they designed it but fail to gain any traction in china. The cc9 is doing ok in China

Sent from Xiaomi REDMI K20 PRO using GAGT

Crubbie Gxgx, pls give review soon

Difficult though as I dont really use much functions of a phone
For me as long as can surf net and call = good enough

Anything specific you would want to know, I can explore once I get the phone

So it appears that Mi A3 and CC9e are the same phones
Android One for the former, MIUI for the latter

Am a MiA1 --> MiA3 upgrader.
Been using the MiA3 for about a week now.

Improvements over the MiA1:
- Bezels much thinner. Feels nice to have a larger screen:body ratio
- Definitely feels faster. I don't game, so not really pushing the limits of the device. But it does feel slightly snappier.
- Camera is a definite improvement. Even tried in 'pro' mode, clamped to a tripod for night landscape photography. The result was impressive. Can fight with my compact mirrorless camera from a few years ago. Low light 'snapshots' also turn better, I guess thanks to better image processing algorithms.

The main downside I can think of is that the front fingerprint scanner is much slower than the MiA1's rear scanner. Noticeable pause before the phone unlocks.

display seems OK actually.
I inserted my microSD card containing my photos taken on camera gear, and the lower resolution (not Full HD) doesn't seem to be that big of an issue.
This was something I was hesitant about before deciding to buy.

So I would say that it's actually OK. Certain websites scaled for 1080, their text does seem a little pixelated. But overall still OK.

Slightly snappier only ah, it's 2 generation improvement leh wahhaha. But then again this is more like a Mi A3 Lite so i guess understandable.

I think low light shots should be good with the 48mp sensor. Possible to upload some sample photos?

What is a deal breaker is no NFC.

And no more IR. I'm using my A1 as remote for my TV. Very much wanted to upgrade to A3 though.
