anyone know how to unlock the bootloader?

Holding down Power + Vol Up and releasing power button upon seeing mi logo....
Got me to another screen showing phone and cable with pcsuite.mi.com

Hi fellow xiaomi gurus, if the mi max is shippied from china can buy ? Without warranty.. saw one shop selling around $200 after coupon.. but not sure reliable anot. What's the diff between export n local set ?

Most of the time u need to buy export set for those premium models. Local Mi do not sell them here.

I kana before also. Reboot the phone again. Let it boot up and then leave it there for 2-3 mins.

Try the password again.

Please report back.

You must follow these steps:

Step 01: Apply for Unlocking via webby. A SMS will tell you your application is successful. The SMS usually arrives within 30 minutes.

Step 02: Using Mi Unlock Tool to unlcok.

Follow the subsequent guide/steps accordingly including the correct Volume + Power keys combi to go into the Fastboot mode for Unlocking bootloader as stated.

**It should be VOLUME DOWN + POWER for entering FASTBOOT MODE, not Volume Up + Power!!!

Did u check whether the initial playback was ok? I had problem when playing mp3. The music initially ok, after a while it started to break up etc. The issue resolved after I disable the power management on that music app.

Done that. But i still see the cable+phone and pcsuite.mi.com.... can't get past there.

Haven't you enabled the USB Debugging in the Developer Option after tapping MIUI Version for 8 times?

I tapped tons of time. Enable developer option already.
USB debugging? Check now it is OFF. I turned it on and try again

It's not fastboot meaning you hv either press the wrong key combo. You may hv entered recovery instead. You can also get into fastboot by adb command:
Adb reboot fastboot

I've now also set the lock screen to Skip swipe screen. However, on the lock screen during charging, it now doesn't show how many % of the battery. Does anyone have an idea how to get the battery % back?

I've bought the MOCOLO full cover screen protector here:
Plue Pear Store / Mi Max Mocolo full cover tempered glass

This MOCOLO screen protector has adhesive only on the sides of the protector, hence it only sticks onto the sides.

After trying two pieces of the white version, both have rainbow effect when viewing from some angles. Sometimes it'll be obvious even staring at the phone straight on, depending on the color of the image on the screen.

Are all full cover protectors for the Mi Max similar?

Looks like max will be faster than max 2 becos sd650/2 on max is faster than the sd625 used on max 2. Battery life wise sd625 is better so I'd imagine max 2 being a super long battery life monster with sd625 and 5300mah battery

Referring to the "Charging xx% indicator" on screen. It is shown on Redmi Note 3 Global Beta 7.1.5, but not on Mi Max Global Beta 7.5.25.

Hi guys,

question related to watching movies / shows on mi max again please. Once I put the files into the 'movie' folder, do i also put the subtitle files there? I know stock android player doesn't play the subtitles, so am gonna try using MX player after googling.
