the xiaomi max is a great phone, but the selfie front cam is quite lousy comparable to old phones?

I have a mi note lte which only have 4 mp front cam, but in v dim condition the whole picture still will be bright, the xiaomi max i can't even see anything. Is there a way to fix this? software issue? because if taken on bright area it is still sharp though dull

You get what you pay for...
My opinion: for superb battery performance on ANY phone (Android, idiotPhone), nothing beats the Mi Max.

For any other functions (cameras, audio), almost everything else beats the Mi Max.

Actually, Mi Max audio is quite awesome! :s22: It beats Samsung totally! :s13:

Mi Max user for half year. Using it as tablet.

Now my LG G4's contract is up, dunno what to recontract to, because Mi Max is seriously too good. The screen is shiok sia. Now all the new phones specs dont't interest me with their prices, since I know I can get those specs at Mi Max prices.

If I were to complain, the not-so-good thing is the camera, as I use the camera a lot, sometimes for video recording. But it's acceptable in bright daylight as you all mentioned.

I find the audio a little soft, but yeah, better than Samsung and idiotPhone. Can't beat the Sony devices, of course.

For new comers. FYI.

Previous older MIUI firmwares had great loud audio. The recent firmwares cocked up a bit. Too soft and the volume scaling also messy a bit.

Let's hope the upcoming firmwares can fix and restore the greatness and loudness of Mi Max audio likes before. :)

Agreed. The Mi Max is actually a better phone than my other LG V10 - at least I'm not looking for a powerbank after 4hrs of usage.

The V10 has one of the best cameras and audio DACs, but of course, the price is another thing.

So far I'm very happy with the Max. It can be a little too large to carry around in the jeans pocket at times, though. Hope they will fix the soft audio bug soon.

Where can I get a mi max online? I heard shoppee got one selling at 208?

What model do you wanna get?

2/16, 3/32, 3/64 or 4/128?

That $208 price tag should be for the low end 2/16 model.

Don't go for 2/16. Not worth it.

Shopee got 1 seller is selling at $259 Gold 3/32. It is the cheapest online now.

Yeah, it's so cheap and so good specs. No regrets buying. Just that now cannot find another 6.4 inch phone better than this at this kind of price

shopee got 259 for gold 3/64 export set. good buy?

by the way to confirm.. both 64 and 128 are running on 652 right? might go 64 instead cause 128 price hiked like crazy..

$259 for the Gold 3/64 is a steal. Can buy for sure. Normally, at that price range, most sellers only give you a 3/32 nia.

3/64 and 4/128 are running on SD652, correct! :)

The Gold on Mi Max looks awesome too. :)

Also, MIUI 8 now has made the Mi Max even speedier and smoother over the early version of MIUI, namely MIUI 7.

The impending release of Android 7 based MIUI will make the Mi Max even better in performance. :)

The current Global Developer rom MIUI 7 series is already an Android 7 based rom which will be released as Global Stable rom soon... :)

Agreed. The Mi Max is my first ever Xiaomi device, and the MIUI8 system is very impressive. They have done a stellar job with their own flavour of Android.
