Actually it's not as easy as it seems. Same thing happened to my redmi note 4. Bought replacement screen from taobao (about $20) and tried to follow the steps from YouTube. Gave up in the end cos stuck at the last few steps where u need to connect the new screen to the 'motherboard'. Difficult to explain here but I say just pay the ah Beng to do the job. Save the frustration. Just my thoughts ;)

no special tools required just a normal star screw driver and may be a credit card just to take cover out. I am not sure how much it will cost locally simlim has lots of shops that sell the spares. aliexpress will be about 34USD

Yes depends, if you are experienced in diy things then easy, someone who hasn't done much electronics stuff may find it difficult. But again when the phone itself costs 200+ giving 120 for replacement is a bit expensive.

After upgrading to the latest firmware, the stock Gallery app keep showing this error. The pictures I took, doesn't show up.

Anybody get this problem too?

Nobody got this problem?

Mine is Mi Max 32GB.

I just reflash to the Global Beta for Mi Max but the problem still there. LOL!

Plus Facebook App keep getting "force close". I get that when I was on the Global Stable firmware also.

Anybody else got all this problem?

My 32gb on 8.2.1 no issues. Tried factory reset and doing a clean setup?
