If price is not a concern. Samsung A9, ASUS has similar phone with slightly battery capacity.

Initially, I liked the A9, but somehow Samsung doesn't want to put the LED notification light on it..... Too bad.

Yeah using the v7 now with sideloaded G apps, works very well, 3 hours of St with 80% battery left, if on v8 I would be around 60%. Thanks again

no problem. maybe now only two of us are on 7.
I have stopped using G apps,switched to Dropbox. one of the reasons on better battery (4hrs ST average upon 80% mark).
unless the local bank apps require me to update via playstore.

That wasn't the deciding factor at the end.

6.4" of Mi Max won me over instead of just a 6"'s A9.

whats the cheapest you guys have seen so far? 369 from simder?

and it seems that only NSE is giving stock china rom so no sneaky fake roms?

and the best place to buy screen protector is simder trading?

No idea about that.

I can only say Global rom is more suitable for us in term of preloaded apps and apps comparability.

You should use the Global rom.

Don't know, man!

So get use to such huge display of 6.4" now.

Even a 6.2" S8+ might looks small to me. Don't even think about a 6" diaplay phones. Gosh!

just setup a mimax for my father ....
legit global rom from hongkong vendor
the update download was ~500KB/s far slower than download via computer... and I accidentally select airplane mode midway ...
couldn't continue or redo the download ... only option is "please reboot to continue update" ..... took a long time heng ah didn't brick the phone

mi mover didn't work as advertised ....
contacts sms can transfer over .......

but whatsapp cannot
photos and pdf files not detected by mi mover and thus not transferred over , need to plug into computer to copy&paste

I dunno what my father done to his whatsapp account ... 3 phones 2 numbers 3 gmail ... dunno what google account what phone tied to what user ... can't sync easily

very impressed with the screen and responsiveness at google-maps
first screen protector didn't do well ... lifted it up and dust particles went in ... tried to use fingernail claw it out and messed up further ....
used second SP and done .... beautiful screen when brightness up to maximum

I find is much better. Feature while win. 2 sim plus 1 SD slot, NFC which Xiaomi don't have. Most important, dump all the Miui bugs behind.
