One last thing to check. Make sure your MIUI version is indicated as something likes that:

MIUI Global 8.0 | Stable

8.0.3.0 (MBDMIDL)

If other than (MBDMIDL) likes (MBDCNDL) ...then it's a China rom though....

*MI = Global rom. CN = China rom

99% is smooth as silk for me too! Swiftkey is the best keyboard as far as I'm concerned!

I guess it could be due to web site "attitude" problem likes this HWZ forum...too mnay advertisements popping up left, right, center and on your face and in you ass and sometimes, inside your stomach liao! It's just making me vomit blood!

No issue on my Mi Max. But there was once I was typing using Chrome and there's like a 0.5s delay on my Mate 9 so should be Chrome/HWZ issue.

I have updated.

But the video playback lag is still there.

Try playing a video, after about 5 secs, the video will freeze for about 2 secs and continue, the audio will just continue. Causing a lag.
