I suspect why some of these ah beng shops selling the phones online at a cheap price is because they will install these shady ROMs with adware/spyware so that they can collect data/login info...some may geniunely be "security illterate", whereas some others I suspect might be a part of a larger syndicate operating in Singapore...

Caveat emptor...

PS: Income opportunity for the techies to flash official ROMs, some of you guys might want to offer your services, maybe $2 to flash the official ROMs on the phone for non-techie users...

Oh..but i thought a lot of bros here get their Mi Max from New Star which currently have the best price ard...so which vendor can we trust?

Oh..didnt know the free economy shipping is by speedpost..wasted my $2.99. I opted for the paid shipping for fear of lost cargo

I loaded the order for 128gb last night.. no citi cc so used safrawin code $12 off.. opt for $2.99 standard shipping coz need phone urgently as currently phone dying.. hopefully they deliver tomorrow haha

Trusted vendor? Mi Store from lazada or any shop that is selling local set with local warranty. But you'll have to pay much more compared to export set. If you know your way around flashing roms, it's cheaper to get export set incase it comes with modified rom.

So I entered an order on shopee also for my Mi Max...hopefully can collect on Thurs...if not I'm ok to wait

If reset the phone via settings is it the same as well?

Just tested it again on another iptv app, some channels I think cannot handle the decoding, the audio is always infront/behind. No issues with android box. Using hardware decoding and software decoding same lag. I wonder what we can do to help improve the speed..
