any good mobile accessories shop in Singapore i can visit ?

to buy tempered glass and casing ???

Used the mi max for the past 4 days


Didn't regret getting it! Excellent phone with awesome features and battery life

Edit : 8.2.3.0 is out in updater for global rom

Wanted to get the export version with higher ram and storage i.e. 3/64 or 4/128 but it seems that reviews are mixed.

Can someone help with my below query?

1. It seems like only those who bought the local sets with warranty (3/32) are not facing problem. Is there anyone who got the 4/128 and have zero problem in terms of sounds, sync, dual sim?

2. Can someone consolidate the finalized flash methods for all three versions of export set mi max? Few hundred posts to read through is no joke. I really read until very blur.

3. I checked with Xiaomi SG and Malaysia and they confirmed that all sets that are not sold under them or their authorized dealer, if spoiled, they will not fix.

4. I was told by traders that China normally produces 2 sets of equipments. The ones for local consumption are often more inferior. The ones manufactured for export are of higher grade. Is there anyone with 2 sets of mi max, 1 by mistore/authorized agents, and another direct from china agents to compare?

5. For those who bought from SLS or online seller, any recommendation for a knowledgeble seller who can flash to miui8 and install google? Or have to trial and error everything base on info here? A seller that I can physically go and consult about the flashing & other issues?

6. For the 4/128 and 3/64, how is online streaming of movies, backing up of photos and data to google drive, email push, dual sim calls n messages, dual apps function, quickball accesss, and speed to connect to free wifi at places like starbucks?

7. From the other thread saw Malaysia will have redmi note 4, 4/64 out. Thinking if to go for this if it officially comes to singapore or to still get a export set of mi max. Mi Max 2 probably will take another 6 months to reach SG and have lesser spare parts compared to all other mi phones? Also Mi Max and RMn4 could be very very obsolete even with the high specs once mi max 2 is out because all newer phones are now using type c port?

If you are not comfortable with ROM, root, custom recovery, my suggestion try to pay someone to do it and stick to MIUI only

Good news is impossible to get hardbricked for this phone since there is EDL method

Post a screenshot of About Phone here. We need to see the full MIUI version on your Mi Max before we can tell you what has gone wrong and the solution for it. ;)

Anyway,

MIUI Team still has not fixed the low volume for YouTube via earpiece yet with the latest Global 8.2.3.0.

I guess it would be the same for Mi Max 32 with 8.2.5.0!

New folks,

The 8.2.3.0 and 8.2.5.0 are at the Beta Stable stage. Only random users will get it at the moment for feedback purpose.

They are not officially release to every Mi Max yet.

It usually takes about 5 days before it is released to all or pull back if there are major bugs found.
