Eu stable rom for volume loudness, official global beta 7.5.11 for constant official updates with maybe more bugs introduced.

Simplicity will be stick to official rom without needing to flash twrp, just use edl mode to flash.

Yup!

The 7.5.11 is still just a tiny lower as compared the EU rom 8.2.3.0 in loudness but acceptable already.

At least, it is so so so much better the official 8.2.3.0 and 8.2.5.0.

Ya, that's what i felt. I thought my ear got problem

For now, really lazy to flash liaoz, so just stick with it until the next update to see if any screws up for beta.

Personally, for the first time. I think that the official Developer 7.5.11 is worth it!

Quite a lot of bugs have been fixed as compared to previous versions!

I will stick to it!

Anyway the eu beta previously i'm using sound better on the mi-in-ear profile, maybe due to more louder, able to bring out the bass and voice better.

Then again, lazy to flash liaoz, flash until scare, mainly because of the restoration part (although within 1 hr can done up).

Mp3 skipping is with eu rom developer 7.5.11 only.

EU ROM stable 8.2.3.0 is the perfect one that you should go for it.

Of cause that, if you are just comparing between the two 7.5.11. Then, the official Global Developer 7.5.11 is the choice.

Ok, I have flashed the 7.5.1.1 global beta (developer?) rom successfully using EDL mode and miflash. But am I the only one that finds the mi max speaker a tad softer compared to the redmi note 3?

Also, I am using a smartcover but when I close the cover and open it, it shows the lock screen which I still need to swipe to proceed to the home screen. My redmi note 3 would show the last app (if opened) or the specific page on the home screen prior to closing the cover.. is it a bug?

That's a recovery rom, not Fastboot rom.

You should go to the main forum page. Browse to Global Beta 7.5.11 thread. Then scroll down the page to find Mi Max 64/128. Pick up and download the Fastboot rom.

As for the miflash flashing guide. That's about it but then again you need to read up. It is difficult to guide here and the guide may not tell you in details.

Search dragonguy, he has posted miflash flashing guide in this thread too.

Ok, just to confirm.. I downloaded the fastboot rom which is helium_global_images_7.5.11_20170511.0000.00_7.0_global_b60273eb91.tgz

And after extracting it's a single file with no extension and about 3.28gb. I need to browse for that file in miflash right? Somehow, I get the impression that it's supposed to be a bunch of files like in this video : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OU6vyNf6wI4

So am I doing it correctly? Sorry, but this is the first time I'm using miflash.. paiseh..

Seems that the smartcover feature in mi max has disabled the feature to directly show the home screen/app by default when waking up, it just defaults back to the lock screen

Mi Max 64/128 on Qoo10 is not cheap recently. Sellers there don't roll out any promotion lately.

Go Shopee or Lazada for better deal.
