No lah. I am right handed but I use mobile phone with my left.

There are 4 types of people :

1. Right handed - Text on smartphone with left hand
2. Right handed - Text on smartphone with right hand
3. Left handed - Text on smartphone with left hand
4. Left handed - Text on smartphone with right hand

Which one are you?

Folks running Android 7 rom,

The only way to get your custom tone to sound for all apps including the WhatsApp custom tone to work is to root your phone.

With root, and root explorer. You can copy all your custom tones to the system/media/audio/notifications or ringtones folder so that WhatsApp can recognize the tone and play the selected custom tone.

I have just rooted my Mi Max Prime with Supersu 2.82! My WhatsApp can sound with my selected custom tone just likes the good old MIUI 8 now!

Happy! :s22:

Also,

EU rom 7.9.8 (basically the China rom) has brought back the Back / Menu buttons switch for folks who are crying for it. :)

For the Global firmware for Helium/128, what's the latest Stable version?

I'm still on Global Beta 7.5.25.

Or get something similar to mine, < $10 from taobao. The X-One like not bad since they paste it for you.

Does the latest Globe Beta 7.9.7 have the Chrome bug? Where you try to copy the URL and the app screen cuts off at the top?

Not sure about global beta 7.9.7.

I'm running eu rom 7.9.8 which doesn't have the bug you mentioned.

For the most bug free operations. Global Stable 8.2.3.0 (Android 6) is the best.

The latest 8.5.1.0 (Android 7) is good too except the manual brightness bug.

If manual brightness bug is not important to you. Then, I would say please go for 8.5.1.0...

Anyone managed to enabled VoLTE on this Mi Max? Irregardless what operator you're using. And provided it's already activated on provider's side.

I'm using StarHub, and unable to get it done with Mi Max. I can get VoLTE using my Redmi Note 4 MTK but after change some settings in MTK Engineering mode.

3 days into using MIUI 9 Beta rom (currently using eu rom 7.9.8 on Mi Max Prime)...

It has been impressive as promised by Xiaomi especially so the speed and smoothness as well the new animation. :)

I can also heard the significant improvement in Audio quality in earpiece mode, be in mp3 playback, video watching or YouTube playback. :)

So far, all my apps are working fine with MIUI 9. :)

This is only the beta rom. I think the upcoming Stable rom will be very impressive. :)
