Keep checking coz I have noticed a trend of the 2 sellers SMARTCELL and EMPIRE 13 might be working together to offer the lowest price possible from 284, 304, 309 then back to 284 and repeat the cycle everyday! :)

Unlike RN3, Mi Max Indian set somehow cannot enter EDL Mode, at least I couldn't even using various version of adb/EDL commands.=:p

So, the only way is to enter Fastboot Mode if you wanna flash ROM and it is so much simpler!

So, finally, managed to flash the latest MIUI8 Global Developer ROM 6.7.29 for Mi Max 32GB!

MIUI8 is such a speedy and smoother ROM compared to MIUI7! You really can tell the huge difference, man! :)

Saw the seller Empire13 but will rather buy frm Smartcell for the indian set. I am a noob in flashing so if I gotten a China set I think I will be lost

You might as well use Fastboot ROM do a clean upgrade for once.

May be that this Indian set must have bootloader unlocked to perform manual rom upgrade be it using FASTBOOT-EDL ROM or Recovery ROM methods... I really not very sure at this early stage...

BTW, this is my first time on Android 6.0...Scary man especially the DND mode..

Sekali my alarm clock failed to sound and wake me up for Sunday work tomorrow morning, then die...

Hookay!

Just discovered that the Mi Sound Profile has a low volume bug in both 7.5.6.0 and 6.7.29.

If you switch on the MI Sound Profile, the media volume would drop dramatically and the media volume stays at the low volume until you kill any Apps that utilized the media playback.

That explained why I was complaining about the ridiculous low media volume earlier on after switched on the Mi Sound Profile.

That is to say you cannot activate the Mi Sound Profile for the time beingvin both roms else the media playback volume decrease to a ridiculous low volume level.

Need to submit a bug report tomorrow.

There is this Double Tap to wake screen in Mi Max too likes those in LG phones. :)

An Android 6 feature. :)

However, you need to enable it under the Display settings coz it is not activated by default.

Awesome feature indeed! :)

Thanks for the fast boot guide.. I noticed somehow my phone was not detected under any COM port.. maybe that is the problem?? Hmm
