Can!

SIM1 and SIM2 can be configured individually for Voice and Data or Voice only or Data only!

For example:

SIM1 for Voice call/Data SIM.

SIM2 for Data SIM only!

However,

If SIM1 is on 4G Data SIM, then the other SIM2 will only have 3G connection!

Either SIM, only 1 SIM has 4G connection at any one time! The other SIM will be downgraded to just 3G!

As for to "throw" your iPad to me or not! I cannot comment bah! :s13:
Bro you confirm both slot can use 4g? I tried m1 on sim 1 no LTE.. previously I have lte on my redmi note 2.
I'm now in batam, my sim 2 have Indonesia sim. Will try my m1 in sim2 tonight when I go back sg

Thanks for the fast boot guide.. I noticed somehow my phone was not detected under any COM port.. maybe that is the problem?? Hmm

Usually that means you need to install drivers

And that, haven't you disabled windows driver signature verification on your PC first before installing the drivers?

Most of the time, once you installed the Mi PC Suits, the required drivers will be installed. I mean usually...

If not, just search for the Qualcomm drivers file in MIUI forum and install them.

The below screen print was extracted from the Mi Max specification from Indian Xiaomi webby. It states Primary and Secondary SIM cards and not specifically stating SIM1 and SIM2...:s8:

Therefore, both SIM cards can use LTE!

Check with M1! I suspect that M1 doesn't supports Mi Max or hasn't included Mi Max yet in the LTE backend system. Therefore, no LTE was detected on your M1 SIM on both the SIM1 and SIM2 slots! :o

I'm with StarHub and I have "Prefered LTE" option shown on either SIM1 or SIM2. :)

I dropped it once, but managed to use my foot to buffer the impact. Still, the casing came slightly apart at the seams near volume & power buttons. I snapped it back in & immediately the power button got stuck in a continuous boot loop.. took alot of rescue effort & now the button regained its original tactile feel when pressed, so be careful..

Hi bro, mind posting your steps or guide for my reference please? i'll like to try your method.. hee

1) Download the latest MIUI 8 Recovery ROM file. Rename the downloaded ROM file to ‘update.zip’ on your computer.

2) Head towards Updater App, click on the "3 dots" (top right-hand coner) and choose "Choose update package",

3) Go to "Download" folder and Choose files, and choose the Recovery ROM zip file you just copied from the PC/Computer and select and tap "OK".

4) It wil then verify the the package "Getting info" and reboot automatically and flash the Recovery ROM accordingly, as shown below:
