It has got to be using the Fastboot rom method which will Wipeout everything.

Therefore, you don't need to flash it to global rom and sideload Google services and Palystore likes in the China set which is running on a Chinese rom without Google services and Palystore.

I expect the next 8.1.3.0 to be out soon...and hopefully MIUI team fixed it.

Anyway,

MIUI has fixed the volume issue on Mi Max Prime with its latest Beta Global Stable 8.1.3.0 (Not for Mi Max 32GB).

So, chances are that the next update for our Mi Max 32GB should fix the issue too!...Hopefully...

I did it by downloading the old version into phone and select the file. Its working leh...

Anyway, I'm on 8.0.1.0 now.

When I checked, only 8.0.2.0 pops up for update.

Is it a must that I must perform the update in sequence as such that I must first, update to 8.0.2.0, then the latest 8.1.2.0 OTA will pop up?

Our good old sniffer dogs .... please helps to dig out the 8.1.2.0 Fastboot rom, can so that we can find out asap if it fixes the volume bugs..!

This is beta rom right? If you update this. Will still get update for subsequent stable rom?

This is the pre release (so called Beta in this case) of the global stable rom.

If no major bugs are found, it will become official global stable rom few days later. You will not get updated again once it became Stable but again the 2 are exactly the same rom.

So, you can update now. Don't worry. It usually will become Stable one.

If got problem, MIUI will release another new version of rom and you will get the update as per normal too.

This is not a Developer rom.
