flashed my mi max helium to pure android 7.1.1. pure performance
ignore the rom title that has the word hydrogen inside...forgot to rename the file when i was converting it to helium rom

I call sim trader. He told me to bring it down and will fix for me.

I really have no time to make the trip down the next 2 weeks.

By any chance, you can guide me here? My current version is MIUI 8 global 6.12.22 beta

Just do a factory reset on miui7 now to see how it goes.

Then, update to 8.1.6.0 one more time. That should clear whatever apps compability issue that may crash the phone. No panic...

Yours is developer rom. You can't update to latest official.

You have got to miflash it to 8.1.4.0.

Use this guide. Replace the china rom by downloading the latest official global 8.1.4.0 for 3/32 version, supposed that you understand it.

I reflash to this rom .. flash successful.. but it is again stuck at bootloop.. no idea where did i go wrong..

It said "success"!?

Did the miflash display a" COMXX" port?

Also, How long it took for the process? It should be around 15 minutes, not less than 1 minute....

Not sure if you know that after you plug in the cable to pc, miflash should show a "COMXX" port after you pressed the "Refresh" button .

If not, meaning that your pc cannot detect your Mi Max, thus miflash failed even it stated as "Success"!


In Device Manager, it should should Qualcomm 9008 driver....

You missed some steps I guess..

Anyway, come to the worst. Bring back to the seller and ask them to help you flashing to latest global rom lah.

Yup, I had the success even though it's failed, need to show COMXX (mine was COM10) by holding Volume Up + Volume Down then plug in the USB cable.

Will wait until bootloader unlock approved to do anything to this phone. Anyone knows how long it takes?

Yup mine same as yours.. COM10.. how to get the bootloader unlock approval? im pretty tired figuring out this issue less than a day after getting the phone haha.. not even sure if JTBC will replace a new one or take a few days to get it settled..

Either the official miflash not working for him on his current pc. May have to use the old miflash beta...

My previous old pc, miflash official works fine.


My current new pc, miflash official failed. I have to use back the old miflash beta then can work.
