not sure if anybody else experiences this, but i realised that my mi max has a much poorer connection speed as compared to my lg g4 despite both phones being on the same network provider and has full network reception

so after a lot of troubleshooting and debugging and even upgrading to miui 8 with a full reset, the network still remained as bad

later found out why, the apn protocol was ipv4/ipv6
after switching to ipv4, the connection speed returned to normal

I was having similar issues with pop-up and unable to update due to not connected to some Wi-Fi. I will update and show the link once I get it done. Tentative, apply to unlock bootloader. The link is on one of the earlier pages. Look for it.

firmware

what firmware are you using? The one I have is the one installed by Simder when I collected it. Notifications don't work on it properly. And I have to keep rebooting my phone at least once a day.

Anyone on the developer ROM? Can I update to Global ROM (when it comes out) from Dev ROM via OTA?
