did anyone manage to unlock bootloader? i got approval a week back i keep getting cannot verify device error on the unlock tool , so many people on the forum complaining the same issue , the only resolution they give is wait for a week and try again

From the MIUI forum, someone did stress that you must be signed into your MI account and make sure find your phone is enabled

Have you unlocked a device previously? If yes, 30days unlock once .

Bro my advice is dont bother since u mentioned yr phone went for a swim bcos there's this water indicator component in every xiaomi phone that changes color once in contact with water or vapour. But yea u can always try for a gamble

only when i reboot my phone .... i'm required to enter my pass code to get in

After that, no issues

does this happens all the time or only when u boot up the phone?
As mentioned by others here, everytime u on/reboot ur phone, it requires u to enter password/pattern.
