Local Mi Max will have IDA stickers and you can use the receipt as proof of purchase. And the IMEI is registered in their warranty claim system.

had visited their service ctr@central thrice, never even asked for receipt/ proof. anyway did they issue hard copy receipt?

usually i use the FTP mode to transfer. wirelessly, no error and fast too. no wire involved.

Copying mp3 files to MM from PC via USB File Transfer mode, keep getting this error:



Phone is on though. Some files will clear, and some will get stuck at this. Anyone else getting the same error?

Edit: Looks like it was because it was connected to a USB3.0 port. Changed to a 2.0 port and seems to be fine now.

Is there a way to use third-party icons with the MIUI launcher? I bought so many icon packs which I used with Nova and wish I could also use them with the system launcher. The icons in the system launcher and rather awful.

Never own a XM stuff. Since there are export and warranty set, first buying just want to make sure i am not con in buying an export set as warranty set.

Look out for houseofcase in carousell, he managed to recover my brick max mi on the spot within 1 hr even when Xiaomi Singapore service center, and those shops at Sim Lim and Burlington Square said it was a gone case.

Do you remember how much he charged to recover your phone?

Open up miflash.

Power off your phone.

Connect USB cable to your phone.

Press and Hold both Volume Up and Volume Down and plug the USB cable to the pc end.

You should heard a pee sound with black screen on Mi Max.

Release both the volume keys.

Your phone should now in Fastboot mode.

Start the sequence of using miflash to flash the rom to your phone.

Guess no QC3.0 support. Unless you have a USB checker to confirm it did swtch to 12v for charging. Usually QC3.0 charger also has higher current at 5v, this is why you feel faster vs other charger.

Yeah, used a USB doctor dongle to monitor.
The current didn't go that much higher, max was 2.2A/6.5V (14.3W)
Max I observed with the MM was 7.55V/2.04A = 15.4W

My other non-QC devices all won't draw more than 5V/2A from the QC3 port. So my conclusion for myself is that it's an improvement but not true QC3.0.

Thanks for the reply. I tried but the MiFlash tool couldn't detect my phone at all.

because u are not in the EDL mode.

MiFlash will not detect fastboot mode.

need to run fastboot.exe reboot-edl

Can we use any brand of Microsd card for mi max?


Or do I have to buy a specific brand that can only be formatted to Fat32? Sorry that I'm asking stupid questions. Really have no clue.
