I've just gotten my set from the Lazada offer recently.

I have only 2 inquiries that I would like to check with you guys. Is it common that Mi Max...

1) has pre-set screen pattern lock? Mine was locked, but I waas lucky to guess that it's an "L" pattern to unlock

2) has one side of its speakers stronger than the other? In my case, at the bottom of the phone, when I cover the right side of the speaker while playing music, it was muffled. But when I cover the left speaker, music volume is the same, it feels as though the left speaker is not working.

Please advise

1) shouldn't be locked. Did you get your set from smartcell lazada? 2) mi max don't have stereo speakets i think, so one side with sound is right.

1 - Not sure, don't think mine was locked. Maybe the staff who flashed it set a lock by accident? Which seller was it?

2 - Left side speaker holes are cosmetic for symmetry, actually there's no speaker there. Only one side has speaker haha

The mi max not tough..
One day i tried to remove the phone case with the dust cap inserted through the case into the 3.5mm jack.
It splitted the screen apart from the phone... i could see the internals. I was dam shocked.. i faster smash it back.. luckily it still work perfectly.

The remote control app also not very good. I managed to pair it with my KDK fan. But 2 days later, cannot control the fan at all..

IR has no learning capability.

consolation, even Samsung phones do not have learning IR

means for unknown brands and point the remotes/IR to each other and program it.
