These are the steps to add fingerprint:

1. Go the Setting>Lock screen & password>Screen lock & fingerprint
2. It is prompt you to to confirm your pattern, do so to unlock
3. Screen will goes back to the Screen lock & fingerprint menu
4. Tap on Add fingerprint, and it will prompt you to confirm pattern again, do so to unlock the 2nd time and you will come to the Add your fingerprint screen.
5. Add your fingerprint

If this doesn't work, report back again.

Thank you, will do it tonight. will keep you guys posted. thanks again for the guide.

anyone with me, still at MIUI 7?
is there big difference between 7&8?

Hi, I am still MIUI 7 (7.5.something...cant remember, phone is at home...)

Can someone help me on this?

Hey guys,
I am first time miui user just bought it last night at Singtel. Beside wallpaper and off auto update, all other setting still default.

I got two questions
1) was charge it overnight with power off. This morning it is power on. But I didn't on it leh..
2)why I can not change the home screen clock color after wallpaper switched to white background (set to the pink rose flower with white background that one)

I checked power management all is off.
Tried to change the clock color to "high something", the color did changed to gold but it reset back to white after reboot.

Any tips? Thanks...

Thanks..

1) No idea. You mean it was 100% OFF (not standby) when you left it to charge and it was switched on when you woke up? My guess is maybe you put it to standby but you thought it was powered off :o. If you really think got problem, repeat this for a few days and monitor. Can you replicate the problem? If not it's simply user error/misconception.

2) No idea. I set the clock to pink text, white BG with flower... reboot. The clock text changes back to black. Doesn't bother me as I seldom reboot and use the default clock colour. If it's really a big deal, just set the colour back after reboot. *shrug*

Thanks for the respond. I was hope some of you guy encounter such issue before and plainly setup miss set.

I will try to charge it with power off again and monitor.

May I know how you set the clock to black on home screen white wallpaper? Mine is white which I cant see it at all. I am happy if it can be set to black and remain black all time even after reboot.

I just use the other clock widget that is listed as 'weather clock'. This one automatically changes colour to ensure legibility. E.g. Dark wallpaper, it will become white. Light wallpaper, it will become black

I use that too but it doesn't seem very good at changing to dark/setting outline on text/etc (i.e. it's not able to be read).

The thing I don't understand is why the clock widget needs to take the entire width of the row.

That's why I quit Miui launcher, so much space taken up by basic widgets. On nova prime.
Try Xperia digital clock, 2x1 compact and 3-in-1 click to go calendar+clock+ weather.

I tried Nova but problem was I couldn't get same functionality using the toggle switches/widgets for the mobile hotspot...

Just received my mocolo screen protector from aliexpress. Surprised by the high quality packaging and the screen protector definitely the best in market for mimax. Confirm no rainbow effect.
Very worth it for few dollars.

Spot on rgd the clock widget. On stock cos the app killer seems to kill off the non-stock widget though i locked it. Shrugs
