Not sure about your Samsung charger rating but believe it's not QC type.
So most probably your Max will charge at whatever rating the charger is able to output at (2.1A to 2.4A).

I asked them about your 128 problem.

They had told me it was due to bug in the preloaded custom rom for the current batch of 128.

Many buyers had feedback to them. Same problem. The Mi Max went dead after fully charged and unplug.

They ask to bring down your set and they will check for you.

They will probably load a new rom and the problem will be fixed. It is not a hardware failure at all.

You can ask them to load the latest Global rom 8.1.6.0 for you if they are willing to.

So, take this news as a good news. It was due to bugs in the preloaded custom rom. Not that you have gotten a lemon set. :)

i had a smiliar shutdown problem on my mu max 64 gb too , later fixed by using standard China stable rom with no playstore, its usually causedby the custom playstore services which causes random shutdown .. or power off as soon as u unplug.

Custom rom + Google service don't really make BFF! You don't know when they are going to punch each other on the face one! :s13:

The best is to flash to official Global rom or if you want, official China rom + Google service!

BTW, this $5 adaptor with double USB port is good. 5V 2.1A. :)

That's the name of Newstar in Lazada. Same same shop but different name and pattern lor.

Ok lah.

I got one spare original Samsung fast charger and cable with me.

If I need a faster charging for my Mi Max , I can use that. ☺️

Usually, I just use a normal charger on my Mi Max.
