I'm just surprised with this model given the huge 5k battery and 730G chipset but battery life doesn't seem to be stellar...?

batt life apparently worse than OP7 even though the latter has 4k mah, sd 855 and a better screen :s22:

i would take a k20 pro or even a previous gen huawei mate 20x for the money.

Xiaomi always hype their cameras .... I shall take a step back and see how well this gonna be.

My concerns is the processor (SDM730G) might pull back the image processing.

Fanboys/Fansee don't shoot me, I myself a Xiaomi devoted buyer since day 1 ;)

its always hype (regardless of brand)....but the lvl of hype
I'm keen in the phone (thanks to batt...and the SD730G is for gaming thus no need SD855+)

The camera isn't hype, I managed to play with it a bit while in Shenzhen ytd....

Taking photo at 108mp, compared to Huawei mate 20x and OnePlus 7t and xiaomi redmi note 8 64mp,
The 108mp takes much sharper images...

The design feels really good as well, unfortunately it's only 730G at 2799 RMB....

Sure will have pro model coming soon with 855...

Don't like that they called it the mi note 10. It sounds pretty similar to the samsung galaxy note 10,and is likely to confuse the less educated consumers.

The likelihood for a Pro model is very low. :o

However, there will still be phone models from Xiaomi with the 108MP camera coming next year, can look forward to the next-gen Mi MIX and/or Mi 10.

I think they sell low in China and chop Amdk carrot to cover the profits... 888 is a bit on high side, I will rather go shanghai next week to get the China version for RMB2799

My phone just arrived in the morning. The main camera is indeed very good. For those who take a lot of photos, this is very versatile phone with all the cameras.

I bought this to shoot videos.

With EIS, main stock camera app can only record 1080P. To get 4K, you can't use EIS.

Videos can still be jerky but that depends on EIS/OIS and the app you use.

Stock camera app with front facing camera works well with EIS, but not main camera.

Open Camera and Manual Camera apps can shoot 4K with EIS and work well. Front facing cam with EIS only 3008 pixels wide max. Video is generally smooth, but could be better.

Nice.
How is the shutter lag when shooting 108 megapixel and when shooting normal pic?

I saw a techtablet review of this phone side by side with a Huawei p30. It's almost the same.

Only thing is, a p30 256 gig one about 900 Vs 750 for the cc9 pro 256 gig version

Huawei got 2 year local warranty.

108MP has significant lag. About 4 seconds to save a photo.

Anyway, there's no point shooting with at 108MP when the 27MP photo quality is significantly better.
