It may be actually the same hardware with different housing, then pick and drop some feature so they can price it differently.

Which is why i find the figure thrown out as surprising, absurd even, because it's double the price of the 5s with the same SD821. Costlier than other flagships even.

Apple iPhone will always be the king of resale value. Android phones are not well known for good resale values.

The Mi Note 2 will be featuring a flexible OLED panel by LG Display, which is one of the most pricey component of a phone. It will also be featuring a customized Snapdragon 821 SoC, with the close partnership of Xiaomi and Qualcomm.
It's likely they will be utilizing the Sony IMX398 sensor too, which is one of the best camera sensor outside now that the Oppo R9s will be using too.

If these specs are good enough to command a pricey price tag, I feel it's okay for them to price it high.

Not to forget to compare number of 4G and 3G band coverage too. For Xiaomi, typically it covers 4. Good enough for use in Singapore it not those travel frequently.

Best sensor not imx 378 meh, the one pixel is using, currently highest score on dxomark. 398 like never test before

Product launch on 25th Oct.. Available in Nov? Any recommendation on where to purchase? 1st time using XiaoMi

High likely will be available on their official Tmall store: http://xiaomi.tmall.com

This time round, stocks for Mi Note 2 will unlikely to be sold out that fast as the previous Mi Note as Xiaomi may have prepared enough stock for the demand.

Will there be any issue with the delivery?
The last time my friend help me to purchase mobile phone (Meizu Pro 5) in China, we had a hard time shipping it out as all the courier company wants the battery to be removed except for Iphone. In the end, managed to to send it to me via DHL and no promise that i'll received it.

Will the goggle play store comes with it?

I use Singpost forwarding. Seem no problem.
But Singpost local service is very bad.
