Hey guys, just got my MI NOTE. Excellent device!

Probelm:

Holding down POWER button for >3-5 secs will reboot the phone! I realised it is SUPPOSED to be this way.

Anyway to disable this?

Sometimes putting the phone in my bag, the power button can easily be pressed by other things (books etc) and the phone will keep rebooting!!!

They should have a "confirm" button before it reboots :(

Thats the general "blanket-all" reply.

There're lots of local SG sets being retailed by 3rd parties, be it thru "traded in", Telcom sets etc. As long the source originated from Xiaomi SG (can be validated by IMEI) and not parallel import China/Msia sets, warranty is valid.

And nope, receipt is not really necessary too as there's date of manufacturing.

Where is the date of manufacturing located? How close is it to the purchased date?

my advice personally is not to upgrade.

battery drained liked **** after upgrading to 6.6.8.0. it was super bad till my phone went dead only with 2.5 hours of SOT. use abit drop alot.. was about to give up the phone..

yesterday did a full memory wipe using recovery mode to 6.6.6.0 initial version, SOT went back to 4 - 5 hours with wifi and 4g mixture.

PS> only on 1 sim starhub.

Updated.. So far doesn't felt any difference. Maybe would need the changelog to identify..:D

hi, does anyone know how to change the date format in the messaging app?

Under settings, I have selected the format dd/mm/yyyy but when using messaging app displays it as mm/dd. Is there anyway to change it?

TIA.

On 6.6.8 mine would have very patchy gps signal..

Google maps will always Jump around when driving and not moving.

Upgraded to miui 7 and problem seems solved.
Miui 7 also seems snappier.... But damn leychey to install all the Google apps separately... Cos the miui 7 beta is china rOm...

Separately, anyone tried installing the plain Google 5.1.1 lollipop rom?
