I would say the xiaoxin pad 2021 is the best value. Among the three tablets xiaoxin is the only one equipped with type-c 3.1 that can connect by wire hdmi to monitor or tv. The others need to "cast" wirelessly and suffer latentcy.
Chromecast is ok where latency is concerned. I use my Xiaoxin Pad Pro to cast to my Xiaomu Mi TV 4S 65" regularly for YouTube videos... absolutely no lags... love it, and wished I discovered it earlier... Using a cable is good and guarantees good latency but still must move to the TV to get to the tablet to navigate the device... I feel Chromecast is just absolutely outstanding where I can surf the net while watching... it's amazing...

Lazada selling Mi Pad 5 and Mi Pad 5 pro only $500 & $600 with 1 month warranty. Feel like I too early buy.. Pay $709 1 year warranty..
$600 sounds reasonable for the specs which would probably get you an mid level Samsung tablet... so it would seem good value...

New TV may be ok. But how do you cast wirelessly to an ordinary monitor/TV without Chromecast capability?

Can you share which seller can you buy 256gb Pro at $650?

I hope not taobao because you still need to add shipping and gst.
That's taobao price, inclusive of all charges.
2,800CNY that's like $590.
3,500CNY that's like $730.
Any higher, I will need official local xiaomi warranty to be worth.

Non pro is good enough. Just make sure to get the 256gb because there is no microsd support.
Non pro 256gb is good enough if you really need the extra 128gb storage otherwise just spend the extra money on Pro.. Better speakers, faster charging, fingerprint unlock, better chipset, faster ram (LPDDR5X). And a bonus 5MP rear depth sensor.

Mine got no issue with installing playstore. Maybe you can go Accounts & Sync under settings to enable basic google service first then try installing play store again

Shouldn't we wait for international model to at least have a chance for widevine L1?
