Still need to pay 7% gst
I wonder how much the Mipad 5 stylus and keyboard cover will cost in SG? Assuming its (469 x1.07) + 70 (stylus) + 70 (keyboard cover) = 640.

The Matepad 11 package is about 698-50 = 648. Almost the same in terms of prices, just that Matepad is running Harmony OS and does not have access to Google Mobile Services

What is this "-12gc" deduction? How do you get that?
Qoo10 has gift cards you can buy at 2% discount ($100 gift card at the price of $98). So you purchase 6 (thats $12 saved) of them and convert them into qmoney which can used for payment.

Think i saw on shopee supposed official mipad 5 kb cover selling at $119 and stylus at $88. The matepad 11 is well worth only if you truly need and going to use the kb cover and m-pencil. The official retail price of the 2 freebies is $349, which feels grossly inflated. Even if you are looking to sell them off, i doubt you can find anyone looking to buy them at half the price considering the kb cover doesn't work on other huawei tablet models due to size difference. Wait a bit more and you will probably see cheap knockoffs selling on taobao for a hell lot cheaper.

Q10 selling mi pad 5 pro 128gb at 625
625-50-10gcx1.07=$604

Best price so far
How would you rate the Xiaoxin Pad Pro 2021 against Mipad 5 and Matepad 11?

The Xiaoxin Pad Pro 2021 has a bigger OLED screen at 11.5 inches but slightly slower OLED refresh of 90Hz. Pricing is about 620 on Shopee.

Can't seem to find any similar listings on Qoo10 for the Xiaoxin Pad Pro 2021 though to make use of the $50 off voucher

My recommendation is Xiaoxin because of Google and expandable storage. It may be 90hz only but 120hz is not a big leap.

Mi Pad is my second pick because of gms but storage is not expandable so you need to buy the "more expensive" bigger capacity.

Matepad 11 is third because some app doesn't run fully or not available in Harmony OS. I'm not talking about YouTube,Instagram or gmap. I do some drawings and the app I use is actually available in Harmony but those "tools" that I paid before won't run because it needs gms to verify...... But if you don't have app issues then matepad11 is an excellent value.

Thanks for the advise. Leaning towards the Xiaoxin Pad Pro 2021 as well. Will keep an eye out for good deals on that then

Remember that unless you buy global version of Mi Pad 5(which doesn't exist yet) the china version of Mi Pad 5 does not come with Google services too

Both xiaoxin pad pro and mipad 5 running on china rom do not have GMS out of the box but you can ownself sideload the google suite of apps. As for matepad 11, there are workarounds like Gspace although not all apps would work. For folks who must have gms working out of the box, there always samsung.........

In terms of price-performance ratio, for sure would be xiaoxin pad pro on top. If you going to do alot of media consumption on the tablet, Oled screen definately more shiok. The lower refresh rate probably won't be noticed by most folks. On the other, if you are currently using a Huawei smartphone then its a no-brainer to go for the matepad 11 since the OS is optimized for products within its brand ecosystem. Lastly, some folks might find the lack of sd-card slot on the mipad 5 a deal breaker.

Xiaoxin Pad Pro 2020 version the China ROM can run GMS out of the box... the 2021 version is anyone's guess... so be careful... read up first...

Mi Pad 5 - will MIUI allow GMS to be installed even? The Xiaomi phones with China ROM doesn't allow that right?
