All will start with copy only. if I am correct Japanese too when they started copy products but they improved the design. Similarly Xiaomi too improved the design.

Once upon a time we do not trust China own designed products for reliability. Xiaomi brought confidence in consumers.

So we can not under estimate. Being an emerging market (China) I feel nothing wrong with them. If a poor country (once upon a time china now no more as a county) want to gain market share, if they want to capture market with innovation it can be challenging.

I only go for it if it is cheap. But now a day many of them are around same price. XIAOMI. No way for the poor Miui.

Think if you can still get Samsung tab s offer with bluetooth keyboard at $398. This should be the best buy as keyboard itself is close to $100 in value. Other choice I had in mind is Asus. Quite a numberof ATOM model is priced around $299. Some with 3G.

Hi cscs3, may i know where did you find the post with the state offer? can't seem to find it in marketplace.

Thanks

to lock/unlock, press the power button on the side. no home button screen activation, since it doesn't have a hardware home button. :)

Hi fellow mipad owners. Just got my set. Is it just me or is the SD Card tray really very hard to remove?
The SD card tray pops up only a bit when I use the ejector, then I have to shove a piece of hard plastic in to force the tray out. :(

Just bought a green Mi Pad today from Passion Gadget at Qoo10. China set, 64GB, 6 months warranty by them. Bought at $250.20. Was lucky as I wanted last night which was $279, never expect a price drop today so quickly bought one. Self-installed Play store and all Google services after going thru the net, I can help if anyone needs help. Basically, now most Mi devices are using Miui V6 and above so there are many bugs and crashes on the Google apps. The link and guide that was provided by the Passion Gadget is not valid anymore due to the app removed from Mi store.

Overall, satisfied. Nothing much to add as I just gotten it. Shall adding games and movies in soon.

Here's the link for the Mi Pad: http://list.qoo10.sg/item/XIAOMI-MOBILE-100-ORIGINAL-FIRMWARE-UPGRADEABLE/411718924

S$330 can get 64gb version from tb now
Like dat might as well get from Qoo since there's no agent warranty for the 64gb model. Sometimes during time sale it can go as low at $250 for the 64gb and there's 6 months shop warranty..

Also I found there is a Xiaomi shop open today at Sim Lim square. They just open today. Parallel input set and shop warranty given.

eg. Saw Mi4 (not Mi4i) selling @ $399.
