Maybe .... it'll be better with a new thread. Since I am one of those who stand waiting for its availability.

just keep it as MiTV thread ba, basically most of the inbuilt functions & features are about the same. So were the queries / answers :s13:

is anyone uisng thevideo-player app from xiaomi?
i use it with a HDD that is connected to my router. the app can find the HDD and addsthe videos in a gallery-style with a picture and movie name in chinese.
so far so good. but since a few days, the app doesn't add new videos to the gallery that are saved on my HDD. also the refresh function doesn't work. when I access the HDD over the normal file browser, the new videos are shown and I can play them with the video player app. they just don't show up in the gallery.
anyone faced this problem? Is the app limited to a certain number of videos?!

any other reccommendations for a video app with gallery function, that also adds chinese subtitles to the movies automatically?!

The h265 is probably a good thing for most desktop users as its more cpu and battery demanding for laptops.

I just hope we can stream lossless blu-ray someday.

I mean, personally I don't watch movie on my notebook. If I am at home, I'll watch on my TV. If I am outside, I'll just be doing stuffs.

At most, I'll watch movie on my PC on 1 screen and then do other stuffs on another screen.

Wah ... lossless file size is no joke ah.

Hi guys

I got the MiTV2 eventually. Manage to change the language to English after rooting (360.cn) and installing 2MoreLocale. I have also installed youtube but it doesn't allow me to sign in. Is this normal or I installed the wrong apk?

Also, after I did the above, my Xiaomi app store is not working :(. Shows a blank screen after I click the app. Anyone experienced this?

yes, i experienced the same after rooting.
i swiped everything to get rid of the root and use the TV without root now. you can switch the language also without rooting when you install the XH home launcher (there is an instruction in this thread, i guess).
maybe someone else has another solution to get youtube and the app store working ;)

I manage to get the xiaomi app store back by changing the language to English (US) via MoreLocale 2. Previously I set it to English (Singapore), that's why it didn't work.

Anyone has the link for the correct YouTube apk file? TIA.

You can explore sgshop.com, which can buy or ship for you.

The shipping rates are published. If you know the shipping weight of the tv, you can have a good estimated of the cost. When the item is shipped to Singapore, you can self-collect or have it delivered to you. Final cost to you would be cost of tv paid to seller, shipping cost and service charge by sgshop. You may have to pay GST.

I did not need to root my 49" mitv2 to change to English UI.

Very hard to give a quote as xiaomi doesnt weight the shipping package.

The worst case i would assume it would be 30kg max

Shipping cost should be under 80.
