My GST is below $100 incl other items I bought, 7% gst is charged on every small item even below $400 when you ship by sea.

So GST + shipping charges would be slightly above $200 liao right?

Hi Uno_Hu,

I'm interested in the Xiaomi Tv 3 60 inch as well. Would you be able to share with us the total cost involved (i.e. TV price, shipping price, GST, crate etc)?

I see sellers on Qoo10 with ready stock in Singapore selling around S$1,900++

The seller on Q0010 just informed me couple of days ago they have no more stock. Only pre-order now. When asked when can it arrive -- no reply liao.

yes, you can use an easy way to enter recovery mode:
1. when your mitv is on, press and hold power button, then choose reset;
2. when your mitv reset, press and hold both "home" & "menu" button;
3. the recovery mode show up ;)

you have to wipe data first before you choose reboot, then choose the system not the current using one...

from what I know, mitv is using dual boot system, when you do OTA update it will update to the other system and boot up, so the previous one is backup for previous firmware version...

Ok. I just did a short video on how we can get into recovery on Mi TV 2 using the above mentioned method.

So after "wiping" all the data in Recovery already then select "Reboot into the system 2", correct?

By doing this, I will be able revert back to 1.1.70 (Stable) firmware?

I don't mind taking some time to do the video. But I need to know the correct procedure.

Now waiting for our dear friend's reply before I wipe all the data and then tries to restore back to 1.1.70 (Stable).

Did any of you managed to use this method to install Google PlayStore on your Mi TV?

Previously, I did go into Recovery. But I didn't do all the "wiping". Then I tried to reboot with the "System 2" (not the recent one). The Mi TV 2 couldn't boot at all.

IIRC I got some error.

So no choice, I had to reboot using "System 1 (Recent)".

My Mi TV 2 is the 55" model. The remote is IR type.

You mean you tried exactly the same thing with the BT remote but you couldn't get into Recovery?

I uninstalled my YouTube TV and installed YouTube TV 1.0.5.3.

Play a video on YouTube, still laggy. *sigh* Think I may try to do the hard reset via Recovery and "downgrade" back to 1.1.70.

GST: S$96.17
Shipment Fee: S$108.00
Agent Fee: S$118.55
Insurance Fee: S$41.22
Total Amount: S$363.94

Err at this fees might as well order from local reseller?

Sent from Xiaomi REDMI NOTE 3 using GAGT

I did the calculation before, that's why I end up getting from seller selling locally. Because they will check and make sure the TV is working ok before shipping it out to Spore.

When the TV reaches Spore, they'll also check again to make sure that the TV is ok. Then they will deliver the TV to customers, open it up to show that it is working.

After that, still provide 1 month warranty.

So to me personally, I don't mind paying the extra for all this additional services from them.

to confirm this method work, I updated to 1.1.92 just now...(very risky=:p) and I have record all my step, will upload to share tomorrow...
yes, you are right, if you never wipe cache and use data, it will hang on blue mi boot screen; once I wiped cache and user data (not clear all data), it takes few minutes then boot to initial setup menu, and all your apps will remain!:s12:

Yes , I still cannot go into the recovery mode using this method.
I read somewhere , only IR remote can use this method..
Pressing the Home+Menu on my BT remote goes into BT pairing mode of the BT remote..
Back to swiping Left to Right again....

THank you pspeter for the video. I am so happy to see many gurus sharing their experience and "know-how". Does that mean when the FW is 1.1.70 then the YouTube will be all good?
