@pspeter:
for Kodi I made the same experience. Passthrough will give awful sound. I tried to play with other settings already, but not satisfying. The sound with the standard Videoplayer App is much better from my point of view... But I will try to find a Dolby Digital or DTS Test-Video. Then I will compare again.

Later I will also try the Kodi-Passthrough-Experimental builds offered in the Kodi-Forum (mainly for NVdia Shield, but I will give it a try :) ). Maybe these builds work better... Kodi is very convenient, especially for the build-in subtitle search and the support of *.ASS Subtitles (which are better looking and more convinient then *.srt, from my point of view...).
Would be great if we find more KODI users here to share our experience :)

Yes, I know. Problem is, my videos and therefore video covers are only shown when I plug the HD in TVs USB. With oldee FW it also worked over network (HD in the Router).
For the subs: yes, also working, but I can't choose which one I want. Only source is shooter-cn, and only srt-subs are possible. Therefore it's impossible to have chn-eng subs downloaded automatically with the videoplayer app. Another issue is, that shooter not always has a subtitle. Some movies showed Arabic subs, for example :p

Another idea would be, to.put the HD in the TVs and then try to find it via network on my Laptop, so I don't need to unplug it for adding new movies. Anyone experiences with that? I find the TV as a DLNA device in my network, but don't seem to be able to acces the USB ports with anything plugged in...

1.2 is out.. anyone tried?

Yah, since cannot go back to 1.1.70 (Stable), so I just upgraded.

Also, thanks to PsPeter, he told me to use Kodi to watch YouTube. Guess what, the lag is gone!!

Now just need to find out how to allow search in Chinese in Kodi.

Say, anyone tried ordering mitv 3 using 65daigou ship for me service?

Sent from Samsung GT-I9305 using GAGT
Wanted to but got a quote from 65dg that the weight for shopping is around 49kg for the 48".

Dear customer,

Based on past purchases from other customers, the estimated volumetric weight of the item is 49kg.

You may use this as a reference to calculate your shipping fees based on the shipping method chosen. Do note that Xiaomi items can only be shipped by sensitive air or sensitive sea.

Thank you.

In the end decided to just get a TV locally as after adding in shipping and GST price difference not that much.
