Just received my Xiaomi TV 2. Anyway to stop the annoying banner that prompt you to buy the bluetooth game controller at 99yuan?

This show up when I boot up my tv. How to get rid of it?

Hi there,
from what I read, the mitv2 keep a copy of the "before update" firmware.
From the setting page , you can selected to go back to the "before update" firmware.. If feeling adventurous , try this at your own risk...good luck.

recv my 49" mitv2 yesterday, 1.1.78(Stable) firmware with the ads :( anyone on the latest firmware know if the ads are less intrusive?

Setting up & apks installation are actually very simple & easy. A really great & awesome TV at $639 (luckily didnt let go at offers of $650-670)

actually i found the default video player good enough, the auto subtitles as bro i1magic have mentioned is quite impressive.

But yeah most of my vids are mkv / mp4 / rmvb format which are all supported, thus no need for mx player i felt. But if ya insist, u can always extract Apk using ES explorer on phone/tab & install from external storage. Btw is there any default File explorer on this mitv?

I use the default video player as file explorer. I can see all the "shared" folder from any devices on the same wifi network.

So I actually have a "apk folder" on my PC which I shared out. I can install any apk by using the default video player to go to the folder.

hmm streaming 1080p (Epl on phoenix) on kodi seems to be choppy (low fps) tried playing local Vids 1080p thru kodi n same problem, but is fine using default player/MX pro.

Already tried playing around those VID rendering / acceleration settings but to no avail. any buttie encounter same issue & knows the solution?

surprisingly some of the movies, old 80s/90s movies are HD!

Hi, any gurus here can advise if the xiaomi soundbar can work with non xiaomi TV? I already have a tv just looking to upgrade the sound. Any review or place to buy just the soundbar without the TV? Thank you.

Funny. Maybe you can try restarting the app or TV again. I got 662 channels.
