Amazing device. Still onboarding all my apps - after Android app clone the apps needed re-initializing. So far the banking apps, GPay and all google services are okay.
I come from Huawei P30 Pro. This camera seems to be a strong contender. Yet to play around with too much photo taking though.
Trying to get used to side-button fingerprint scanning and the weight of it. Without a casing, it doesn't seem to heavy and I still find it sleek.
Getting alot of curious looks asking what phone is this

i watched Flossy's review of xiaomi fold 2. he said the phone doesn't have a couple of things which are a real negative for him. whats your honest opinion of the phone since you've used it for a 2 months.

I tend to drop my phone. I don't think the hinge can take it. So folding phones are out for me.

Any Mix Fold 2 users here? I was torn between this phone and the VIVO X Fold Plus so like to hear some feedback from fellow users here about the Mix Fold 2.

Have been using Fold 2 for the past month, previous phone was a Samsung flagship model.

Pros:
My take on my first folding phone is that the large screen is a must if you do lots of reading on the go and use of productivity apps. It saved me carrying an extra PC/tablet around so am very happy with that.
Hardware is really next level compared to competitors. Ultra thin and light, after adding carbon covers my Fold 2 only weighs 300g, as compared to 250g on my single screen Samsung.
Anything over 300g I think its heavy on the fingers and prone to droppage already.
Battery life is great despite the large screens, sure can last till end of the day.

Cons:
Servicing: This is a CN only model where servicing probably requires you to go back to CN to do it (tbh this is where I think its not really worth the buy)
No wireless charging: but the device is really too thin to accommodate the charging coil la.
No inner cam on the folding display: Not an issue if you don't do video calls on the large screen
Camera: not as good as flagship Samsung, but again cameras are a flagship specialty, cant expect same quality here.
MIUI OS not very polished: Does have occasional display errors (eg. keyboard grey out but still can type ok) and bugs like reset lock screen wallpaper at every restart. Might have been fixed in subsequent update.

Apps working fine:
Google Pay
Bank Apps
Productivity apps.. etc
Wearables (but i don't use NFC pay on watches so idk abt this)
BT headphones (yes Fold 2 supports aptx)
etc
Basically everything that worked on my Samsung worked fine on Fold 2

Apps somewhat not working fine:
Microsoft Intune: This was a major gripe for me. It was working very nicely until I applied an update.
Xiaomi's 'Stable' OS updates releases (MIUI13 -> 14) breaks compatibility during the update, therefore Intune was unusable until 1 month later when MS issued a fix for MIUI14.
Since this is a China only model, I assume they don't do testing for apps that are not widely used in CN during DEV stage.
The obvious workaround is NOT to do any updates (turn off auto updates) until your important apps have been verified working in the new OS versions.

FYI Intune did not work out of the box. Need the following settings to make Intune work on MIUI 13:
Step 1: Dev options> turn off MIUI optimizations>launch work apps
If still not working:
Step 2: App info> Storage& cache> Clear both Storage and Cache > launch work apps
DO NOT turn on MIUI optimization as their privacy features will block Intune again.

Brother, that was a very detailed sharing and information on the Mix Fold 2, this is my first time to own a China Export Smartphone.

After comparing the price and specs, I agree that Mix Fold 2 is very premium in the slim profile and build quality but I have decided to go for the Vivo X Fold Plus and dun mind the thickness and weight over the Mix Fold 2 cos I need to do video conferencing occasionally so need the Camera on the single screen and double screen.
