alright, after using hongmi 1 and xiaomi 1s, in my personal opinion, hongmi 1 own xiaomi 1s gao gao except the additional of 4gb differences.

Anyone disagree with me? please hand up!!!!

Never use redmi 1 before but after i flash CM on redmi 1s i am quite pleased with it.

i have both. currently using redmi 1S but already decided to dump it. Either I go back to 1 or change phone.

Only good thing of 1S is it has a higher number of roms available, but imho it defeats the purpose of buying a xiaomi..

bro, it is not adviseable... the latest one underclock till as wat bro here say, till 2 core runing nia... if i set to performance mode in the power, it will heat up then auto hang... but if i set it on hongmi 1, no such problem and also very smooth... haiz

I decided to take the plunge and update to v37 after reading through all 37 pages of this thread and some of the links you guys have provided. For a tech noon like me, I guess the good thing is that I'm able to save my camera photos under SD card lol.

Anyway, miui is prompting me to update to v45 now, but I'm contended to remain status quo.

Is anyone using miband with their 1s..?

There's Swiftkey, Google Pinyin Input and Google Keyboard pre-installed. Swiftkey and Pinyin Input can be uninstalled but Google Keyboard can't be uninstalled.

ya, you are right.
After update, google keyboard cannot be uninstalled.
When it was still in v27 OEM, google keyboard still have an "uninstall" option beside the "end" option

Dont mind i check with you whether u have these following folders in "my explorer"

1)jeejen.com
2)miliao
3)QieZi
4)"wo de kuai pan" (chinese chracters)

Safe to delete them? Seems dodgy to have them.

If you are referring to internal storage, I only have 'miliao', which should be the pre-installed Mi Talk Messenger app.

Stay at v37 is fine. V45 will make your phone runs much slower.

Thanks for the feedback. I might be very very wols on this but I just found out that my 1s can't detect 64gb microsd card, 32gb is fine though. I wonder why xiaomi sg website state that 64gb is compatible

Just installed Viper4Android onto my 1S, not sure placebo or not but like sound better than my IP5. Tested using xiaomi gold piston earphone.

After a long wait, Redmi 1S finally have an update! MIUI JHCMIBL50.0, still based on MIUI V5 on Android 4.3 though..
