Yep face that issue also.

my only concern is the 2g issue.

the speaker issue can let it slide considering the price

I think it's okay considering the price. But because it's at the rear so when I view video, I need to curl my palm on the speaker to redirect sound.

I just tested the network on 3s. It will need 2 sim card in the phone to activate 3g/4g, else it will stuck at 2g. The other sim card can be one that is deactivated, that means dummy sim. But because of this, you can't use microsd. Btw, mine is china set 16gb/2g with global rom.

Edit: After removing the sim and test them slot by slot again, the bug seem to be gone. Need prolong testing to see if this is a major issue. Strange bug.

I have been using Redmi 3S for more than a week in dual SIM with StarHub with Data (4G) + Singtel (2G). So far so good, connectivity has been stable and no 3G bug... *Touch wood*

When I first bought the phone, I tested using a single Singtel Data SIM (3G) and there is occasional slight intermittent loss of 3G signal for short intervals but not really service affecting.

BTW, there is a new MIUI update... Anyone updated? Any issues? The current version I am on is quite stable.

if you have dual sim the issues goes away but for single sim the bug exists. at least according to those guys on the forums
