No this is talking about primary Sim. The secondary Sim only used for SMS. I don't care if its on 2g.

I talking about primary Sim which default should be 4/3g (whichever highest)

The secondary Sim I know would always be on 2g.

ai ya few more months no more 2g, you can only use one sim

With this problem there. I scare after 2g cut off. This phone would goes into no network. Because it kind of ignore 3/4g. Only wanna connect to 2g. But 2g cutting in Aprils. So by then this phone can throw

Is it lag turning on the screen or what? Maybe some third party app screw the system. Have you try factory reset?

I hope not. I'm thinking for those having problem might be due to the old sim card support 2g and somehow the software use the 2g network by default. So if try putting on those new sim card which doesn't support 2g then maybe system will take the base network supported that's 3g as default. If this logic is right, then we got a solution. However it still doesn't apply to overseas when 2g network is still widely supported.

yes. its similar to a "lag" turning on the screen.
Sometimes the screen wun turn on at all even though you can feel that the phone is unlocked by the finger print recognisation.

Factory reset? its that similar to a clean wipe??

Factory reset? its that similar to a clean wipe??

Had the unit about 6-months and sometimes have the same problem. It's a lag but not done anything in the way of a rest.....I kinda just live with it.

I do have other issues, certainly, like notifications and sync both being a bit 50:50 on whether working or not. I miss WhatsApp and some email because it doesn't work in the background.......sometimes, though does mostly.

tried to live with it but it started getting quite annoying when u cant turn on the phone when u need to.... have to keep trying the on/off button, home button, finger reco button until finally display comes on..

I had the same issue with whatsapp as well...

to fix the whatsapp notification delay.

Disable Miui crap under dev settings ( MIUI Optimization -disable that ****)

and go to ur security app and crog icon and disable that permission manager junk

that should fix it


OR you can flash stock android i am using this ROM ( works fine, no issues )

Apps like Netflix cannot be installed...

so far I am only using the phone with Msia and China sim so dunno if really cannot use in SG..

Redmi 3S sux man, my unit used 1 year... power button sunk... now cannot turn on. My business travel phone.

Switch on and off less than 20 times in total.

If calculate by yearly depreciation, Redmi 3S is more expensive than iPhone 7.

My Redmi3 will prompt me that it is running out of storage space. But I noticed that there is still more than 1GB left. I noticed the same questions asked on xiaomi forums but I don't see a clear answer. Anyone can help?
