i dun think u can both spec like this, since 1 is definitely using newer parts than the other old model.

and i would say yes its definitely worth the upgrade if u are a power user (meaning u want less lag with more apps opened and able to get good signal for your daily call, msg and internet on the go.)

but if for basic phone usage, its still quite ok to buy this as an upgrade.

you should definitely consider redmi4 instead if lag is a concern to you

There's only the Redmi 2, 2 Enhanced and Redmi 2A. I assume you're referring to the Redmi 2 (1GB+8GB) variant.
It can be considered a small upgrade in terms of storage, but I would say the regular Redmi 4 or the Redmi 4 Prime will be better~

Will recommend u buy the prime version with 3gb ram. Or can also consider buying mi max since the difference in price between the Redmi 4 prime and Mi Max is not that big.

Yeah both slots support 4G, but one at a time.

slot B - m1 1gb data sim

most of the time i will only on slot A

when i need to see stock price, whatsapp or pcw @ edmw/ssi i will off slot A and on slot B

what i'm afraid that only slot A have 4G and slot B is static 2G only then i cannot do the above once singapore no more 2G from april 2017

the only obvious negative about xiaomi's phones is lousy material, but this is why it's cheap.?don't use it as main phone unless you want to change a phone every year

The material I would say is of a decent quality, not to an extent of lousy.

My Redmi 1S bought at the price of $169 is a durable one, drop many times on its screen face also no crack or whatsoever.
Same for my Redmi 2 too~

would love to get it or redmi note 4, but local nil yet unless import. dont rly wanna deal with flashing etc
