Xiaomi really up their game for their Redmi Note 14 series phones... first time I see them giving 2 yr warranty for their Redmi Note series phones and it seems the prices still stay about the same as the previous gens... wat do u think?

it comes with screen protector pasted by default, 1 black plastic casing, 1 33w charger, 1 usb a to c cable.

updating and doing some simple settings now

meant to buy for my grandma, but it seems like i should use it to experience the power of budget phone

haha need to manage expectations for a $179 phone, i am using iphone 16 pro max

but so far so good, the 120hz screen, the camera is decent, apps are relatively smooth but of course sometimes will lag.

Received my Redmi Note 14 Pro Plus (Switching from Iphone to Android)

1. The exterior feels feels premium, i feel it is better than Iphone, maybe because i love curve screens.
2. Gallery is abit slow, when i scroll down few years back, you have to wait for the app to load your photos (Not sure is it because of cache, i try to disable the "Pause app acitity if unused" to test further)
3. Camera, if you try to delete immediately after taking a photo, you cant as the photo is being processed, you have to wait for awhile (Just 1-2 sec).
4. 120W charging only works when your screen is off, if you charge while using, the charging is slow

2 thing i hate about android phone is the ads and bloatware but most china brand always has ads but you can try to disable it.


Overall the phone is okay, with 2 years warranty, 30x zoom to play (not sharp to have a decent photo), 120w charging, curved screen and solid built, i think it is worth the 500++ (i got 512gb).

The most amazing thing i think is the free redmi earbud 6, it has great bass, transparency and anti noise mode. the build quality isnt as good as airpod pro 2 (very light and plastic) but the at least i can change the equalizer to have more bass or better vocal it is more suitable for music.


I just dont understand why i cant log in china tiktok (douyin), not sure if it is app or phone issue.

Beginning to like curved screen more also, easier to hold then the sharp flat display now that phones are getting so big. Compact phone with flat screen are still okay

Thanks for the information,
I have already done that, but unforunately ads in Mi Video cannot be removed, so i just disable the app.

i hate Mi Video too and also disabled this app.

and cos of this, I can't play back video straight from the stock camera app right after recording, I can't play back from "Gallery" either.
On my Redmi Note 10, i can only play videos by opening them in a 3rd party video playing app.

May i ask do you have this problem on your Note 14?
