The Chinese miui forum reported the 5.10.29 has problem with Google services. It will force close every now and then and require clear cache and data to enable google service to enable function each time it forces close. Don't update to this version now.
i didnt meet any problem with google apps

Oh, and I still thinking I am the only one with the theme app problem... Sian lor, cannot change ringtone... I cannot get used to the limited ringtones available on the phone... :(
which version you are using?you try to go settings and delete theme cache. i backup first. then clear all cache and user data , then flash 10.29 using internal sd card. everything is ok. battery can last 4.5 hrs onscreen within 9 hrs.

I am currently on 5.10.8, clearing theme cache and user data didnt work, not even on earlier os version too. I think I will skip 5.10.29 for now, because it seems that many in the miui forum are complaining of the Google apps problems which I cannot live with Google apps...

Stay at 5.10.22. Zero issues for me except occasional weak wifi.

Tiagong the Redmi Note 2 Pro price starts from USD175. For the extra metal, processor bump and camera...hmm..think saving the 50 to get our plastic redmi note 2 wuhua.
