No lah. Prime is also FDD LTE. Lol flash gapps very easy one no issue. Lots of guides on MIUI forums. Lots of users internationally too. Now flash gapps is no longer via installer. Just go opengapps download the file and flash via twrp, safest and easiest.

Yes, i meant fdd lte, thanks for pointing out the error, have corrected it.

No more google inataller? I din know they took it out.

this app can also help in the installing of Google Apps too: http://app.xiaomi.com/detail/baidu-7173583.
Or you can go to the pre-installed app store in the phone and search for 'Google'. If it says no results, select the Baidu option and you may see this.

The first app helps the installation too. :)

Not for me. Takes a min only. What rom you using?

Developer Miui ROM. I reckon that it is the SIM card and network combination. The 2G SIM is a China mobile card in roaming mode. It seemed that it always prioritise its search for StarHub network before looking for others.

Hi guys. Check with u all.

I have never used the dual simcard function for this phone before. I will be going overseas few weeks later, and will probably get a local simcard. Can I check with you guys how does it work that I can make sure I switch off the data for my SG simcard while on the data for the overseas simcard??? I scare if configure wrongly and come back with a hefty phone bill lor...:s22:

Say SG simcard is X, and overseas simcard is Y.
I am wondering if i off data for X and on data for Y, will I still receive whatsapp for X???

Whatsapp should work if there is wifi or data....it is just an app.

there is option to disable the SIMs (#1 or #2) under SIM management.

My PC which is on Win 8.1 64 Bit could not detect my micro SD card files in my Redmi 1S.
But the PC in my Office running Win 7 can detect both the phone n micro sd files.

How to work around this?

But if I disable SIM #1, then activate SIM #2 together with its data, you mean I should still receive whatsapp messages from the SIM #1 number? I always thought whatsapp is detected by phone number de...

When you have two sim cards, in the sim settings there is default options of dial and data. You can only set 1 sim for each. So sim1 would be for dial(sg sim) then data is (sim2 foreign sim card). That way, it will only consume data from sim card 2 only. However, this means that both sim cards must be left on at all times. You will not be able to switch off any of the sims as long as they are selected to be used as default for either dial or data. So if you want to use sim1 data, you will need to change default of data to sim1 in order to use sim1.

On a side note though, the pro version is rumoured to come out on 3rd December with Snapdragon 808, 2gb + 16gb rom or 3gb + 32gb rom.
