Hi Anyone manage to get the Note 2 IR working?

Is the app in English or Chinese? (those who purchase from XM SG website)

No one installed 5.11.26 on your phone? I downloaded it straight from the website, rename it as "update", and placed it at the phone memory root directory. But the update keeps showing error... :(

Current version should be:

7.0.12.0(LHMMICI)
MIUI 7

5.11.26 is a developer rom, is your phone currently on china developer rom?

If yes, then place the file into this folder "downloaded_rom" and try again.

Hope it works.

Your on 5.10.22 right? Just use OTA. Error is due to the bug of update.zip verification. Can't remember which dev rom was it resolved in.

Anyway i abandon China Dev already. Updates are just getting worse. They keep adding features but can't even solve basic wifi cut. Yea....stand in front of your router and you will still get wifi cut :s22:

Just go HK MIUI site, flash fastboot of the their rom. Then update to the latest 7.0.12. But before you use, need to update google play store to overcome the FC of google playstore. To do that just open google playstore, navigate to settings, tap on build version, a msg says new update avaliable and downloading. Wait for 10 mins, then exit google playstore. When you try to enter, it will say google play services stopped. Try again and you will successfully enter. Latest build version is 6.0.0.

Yes, I am on the developer rom 5.10.08 actually. I didn't update after that because I heard there isn't much changes.

Do I need to rename the file as UPDATE when I place it in the "downloaded_rom" folder???

No problem one for hk rom. Used long ago when it was 7.0.5. You can use the China dev rom to see the problems yourself.

By the way those with update zip failure, nothing wrong with your download or whatever, just an ongoing bug with the update.zip verification. Until now, the devs still no solution haha either use custom recovery like twrp to flash or flash fastboot.

No need to remame. Open the updater app, and on the top right corner menu, choose update package, then navigate to the downloaded_rom folder and select the rom. Let us know if it still gave error msg.

I got this phone for my mum and she highlighted to me the phone has got worse battery life than her previous Xiaomi (which doesn't make sense since Xiaomi's battery capacity is smaller). For example, she goes to sleep with phone at about 50% and next morning it is about 10%. Rather riduculous battery drain issue here man... even day time for a person who is not a heavy phone user, the battery drains a lot too.

Its a custom recovery that replace the default recovery, need to root though. U can also use this to backup and restore entire rom if u screw things up.

If u ok with rooting, juz follow instruction in the link
http://en.miui.com/thread-146299-1-1.html

After u got twrp up boot to recovery mode, den install ur downloaded rom from there. Hope this helps :)

Hmm probably cause sg rom? Not sure if sg redmi note 2 uses the hk global rom. Hk global rom since the start got very good standby time already. Can go through 3 days of standby with 2% drop in battery life. Also don't use the auto brightness, known to be a huge battery drain, unresolved since the phone came out lol.

Don't need to root. Follow this twrp guide instead.
