Just received my RM N2 last week. It's on stable rom 7080, it has a new update, should I go ahead or leave it as it is?

got a long question here:

rmn2 have dual sim but i have been on one all along. recently i got a mobile broadband sim card, thought of using the rmn2 as a mifi. so let's say i put both sim card in, how do i distribute the usage, like SIM 1 is used for calls/msg etc while SIM 2 is use as hotspot and data?

if based on above scenario, does it mean SIM 1 data won't be used at all since SIM 2 is dedicated as the date giver?

hope not too confusing haha...thanks :o

I'm doing exactly that.
Sim 1 set for calls only.
Sim 2 set for Internet only.
U can preset data limit alert and quota for sim 2.

is not possible to say

SIM 1 - calls/msg/mobile data
SIM 2 - solely as a hotspot for tablet

can't right?

Haha software wise we be supported far longer than Redmi Note 3. There is almost i can't remember how many million of Redmi Note 2 sold, their aim was 10million but of course didn't hit but somewhere around 3~4mil. Like Redmi 1S super long support because user database too big.

XD go back Redmi Note 3 thread, dont come taunt us here. Haha.

this is a important info. thanks.

After upgrade to Miui 7.1.1. Whatsapp message delay problem returned.

Did you enable the autostart permission for whatsapp in the "security" app? My whatsapp seems to be fine.

Btw, even with latest dev global rom, my original pebble watch still can't seem to notify whatsapp messages.. :(

Hi, yes you can use mobile data for both. But like others have said, if you want to use internet on both sim cards, you need to go into SIM cards & mobile networks, set the default settings for the respective sim that you want internet on, and the other one to dial. For eg, if you want SIM1 call set to dial and SIM 2 can be for mobile hotspot set to internet. But if you want to use SIM1 mobile, you need to change the default for SIM2 to dial and for SIM1 to internet.

Also, good to use the security app, then from there use the data usage manager to set network data limit as well as restrict the apps that can use data. Very good management system.

Cheers.

Good to drop a mail to pebble support see what they can help.

Yes. Is enable. If WiFi is disable. It seem to work fine just with mobile network.

I got my pebble working again, fingers cross if there's any problem again. Enabled every permission except for the WiFi option in the permission manager. So far no problems yet.

Also, I just tested, with Bluetooth connected to the pebble watch and data switched on throughout the night, I received a number of Facebook and WhatsApp notification and drop by 8% in 6 hrs, is it an average drop of battery drain or massive? Sorry for asking so much. Cheers!

What do you mean by Sim 2 hotspot?

Do you mean Sim 2 also running mobile data, and used exclusively for a hotspot?

Bluetooth on. Very normal as your phone is communicating with your pebble

For those who complain poor battery life, can try charging your phone overnight. Been doing that recently and noticed battery charge is better. Used to only charge 2hrs, hit 100% then plug out but who cares, just buy another battery if the charge dies.
