So if I choose Sim 2 for Internet it can run at lte also? But Sim 1 become 2g?

Yes, when one of your SIM is selected to run on 4G LTE, your another SIM will be only on 2G network. Both SIM slots support 2/3/4G networks, they aren't locked to only one network.

Only the Mi 5 and Mi Max, for now, allows one SIM phone to be on 4G LTE while another to be on 3G network.

I just got my Redmi note 3 shipment today. I am rather disappointed on 2 things
- the dual SIM card does not support let on both SIM card like Redmi 2 and use micro and nano
- the SIM card design is like iphone, you have to use pin to open, very annoying as I change SIM card very frequent especially for reason 1, which I have to keep changing SIM card when I travel, as only SIM card 1 support lte

Well. I'm a more positive person....

I would not open the box and then sell it in bazaar.. A lot of people are buying it.

CMIIW, you can adjust the led notification light from inside the whatsapp itself. It has nothing to do with the launcher.

I still have issue with the fingerprint unlock. It does not detect my finger when the screen off. Any workaround for this?

I'm still okay with 4G/2G setup now as my sim2 (2G) is purely used for voice call, and no data usage for it.

Anyway, by the time telcos cease the 2G service next year, I would have changed to another new phone again.

Sim1 is my primary StarHub 4G..

Ah ok.... Yeah I just re read the printed manual again. I think I missunderstood as I though the second SIM card only support 2g like the old Redmi 1s.


The only drawback now is the size of the SIM card, but since I don't have to switch the position, then it is bearable.

Nowadays telco sim card comes with precut normal, micro and nano in one piece

3rd party launchers do cause some problem on it.

I tried Hola Launcher and WhatsApp refused to light up and give me notification badge...

Having said that, MIUI is such a nice, beautiful and speedy launcher wah. I like it so much.

Once you get used to it after few days, you will like it.

ensure its turn on.

try changing the light colors see if they work.

notifications -- app notifications -- whatsapp --

make sure all enabled.

That's true in many countries, but apparently in some countries that may not true.
