Why not just buy from telcom, 299 for the spec mentioned above.

i saw carousell got pple sell 180-220 for 2gb+16 EXPORT set

EXPORT means no local warranty
the 3 pin plug different
the region firmware different (prob chinese firmware)

is it not worth getting or pay more get LOCAL safer?

I do not recommend buying from challenger, accidental protection only covers cracked screen, they do not cover water damage. They do not provide full coverage for cracked screen, you have to pay a certain percentage as well.

Hi all, has anyone manage to do a Full Device Encryption (FDE) on Redmi note 3? I tried to search online and found this: http://en.miui.com/thread-210766-1-1.html but the answer is not conclusive.

My Samsung Note is dying soon and I am thinking to getting Redmi Note 3 but my company MDM requires FDE. I tried that on my Redmi Note but it didn't work.

My RMN3 is encrypted due to company email requirement.

Buy 3gb+32 local set better. If i am not wrong, all (if not most) export sets are MTK version and all local sets are snapdragon.

Warranty wise,local is easier to claim/repair if you have any problem with it.
With export sets, depends on the seller, some do provide warranty (most of them less than 1 year) but if your device have any issue and want to have it repaired, you have to wait for the seller to send it to china to have it repaired (all shipping fee will be paid by you)

******* loves this phone...battery life improve even better using 7.3.5.0... now at end of day sometime battery life still left 60++ % then i dun bother to charge over night next morning only drop 1 %.... dammed good with good camera image quality using HDR ... but i notice my camera lenses inside got dusts... looks quite easy to go in

May be it sneaked inside in the factory already... Just that you didn't notice it when you bought it...

Yeah! Battery is good. It just used up 2% of juice during my many photos taking just now.

The HDR is pretty impressive..

Dun buy phone with 2gb ram
Nowadays many apps take up alot of ram
Fb alone i think 300-500mb alr
Android itself i think around 300mb

Once ur ram go below 1gb
U will find that ur phone is very laggy
1/2/3gb ram phone all i use before
U wont like it when ur phone starts to lag

Thanks for the reply. May I know what brand of MDM or MEM software is your company using? Mine is using Airwatch.
