cmd

Adb kill-server

Adb start-server

A USB debugging prompt should appear on your phone. tap ok and your device will be recognized

Thanks! I actually reset my USB Debug authorization and then restart all over again.

Now it back to work.

Finally got my MIUI 8 ROM!!

Was really a huge hassle but given the cost I pay for the phone, I guess it still worth it (plus the knowledge I learn on flash/ROM).

Wah! Mi TV also go beta firmware one ahh! Xiomi can do,really! :s13:

To update to MIUI8 Beta. 2 methods:

1. Fastboot ROM method will wipe out everything!

2. Recovery ROM method will wipe out everything except the folders and files that you have copied and created to the internal drive earlier.

How's the MIUI8 battery life so far? I wonder why they don't just go to Android 6.0.1.

So download the Recovery file for this :

Redmi Note 3 Special Edition Global(New!) ROM version 6.7.14

Then flash via the Updater in the phone?

Not the special edition, that is for taiwan :eek:

Yes, use phone updater and point to zip file.

Nice!

Hope there is significant improvement on the performance too besides these cosmetic touch up. :)

Having said that. The performance of current beta version has been commendable. :)

i'm curious with the cons of the rom as i believe there's no perfect rom exist. can help to enlighten? :D and someone asked about the bootloader too which is in my qns list. haha.. if unlocked liao then happened to locked again, we have to request for unlock again?

There is no perfection in this world no matter what it is. :)

MIUI8 has significant improvement in term of performance and UI transition and smoothness over MIUI7 as far as I can tell.

Battery wise, me not really interested in that lah. The current battery performance is good enough for me as long as there isn't any sudden battery drains which in fact, I have never experienced it with any model of phones. :)

Seems like the battery life for 7.3.7.0 really isn't that ideal. Now I can barely get 7 hrs sot with the same usage pattern I used to achieve 8 to 9 hrs with earlier firmware. Time to test out miui 8 when the 2nd beta is released this Friday
