Anyone having problems of network switching 3g to 4g to no network all the time after the android update?

I have this problem...
Starhub BTW.

Edit: It changes from 4G to 3G to emergency calls in a cycle every like 10 seconds.
I dunno what i did to fix it.
Basically i went to sim settings and kept changing the preferred network type to LTE, 3G, 2G.
Change from automatic network to manual and selected Starhub 3G.
When it became stable, i changed back to LTE and automatic network detection and now suddenly no problems liao.
Could be Starhub problem.

There is nothing wrong with your device. Miui 8.1.1.0 quite a lot of bugs at the moment. So they probably stop pushing for those via OTA. But if you die die want, can go to miui site and download the recovery zip to flash.

I know how to solve this issue as i encountered on my phone before. Just go to settings --> Starhub --> Access point Names--> Click SH Data postpaid.

After that, you can exit the settings. Your network should NOT keep changing from 4G to 3G to Emergency now. If still dun work, reboot and monitor again.:)

I think redmi note 3 should have only mtk and global 650 version la shouldnt be by country etc. For outside mainland china, ship with global rom + playstore. That's probably the difference, it doesn't make sense for xiaomi to produce too many versions as they need economies of scale. I have dual sim + microsd mod. When using mobile data have option to choose which sim for data. When selected second sim it shows hspa + and works.

Face palm. Do you know why there is the Taiwan version or not? It's because of added antenna for the 700mhz network that they use. Also some European countries uses it. Xiaomi do a few batches got economies of scale already. Everything inside the Redmi Note 3 is very similar across the different components used. Only difference that is very major is the cpu and bands available.
