Check under your Starhub sim for preferred network type, is it in 4G?

It's "Prefer LTE" when I switched the data settings in software. Have already set Internet dialer to SH sim too. Data is working, only stuck at H+/H speeds.

M1 postpaid on sim1, SH prepaid on sim2. APN is shppd, since shwap doesn't work. I purchased a data plan using the balance in main SH wallet.

Didn't try phisically swapping the cards.

ROM is official MIUI8 global beta 7.1.5.

I almost wanted to tell you that starhub prepaid recently stopped 4g booster for ppu data but i saw that you have purchased a data plan.

Seems like the only way to try is to physically swap sim slots to try then...

I only spent $8 to play with it and can write it off as a loss....

Purchased this two via *123#
7Day 1GB data plan
7Day 10MB data plan

So you're saying that if there're no problems, I should be expecting 4G speeds? Hesitant to switch sims around, incase it messes with the call logs which are already tagged with the SIM being used.

Yes. As long as a data plan has been purchased and apn set to shppd you should get 4g. That is in theory.

Then again depending on 4g coverage and if starhub is screwing up or not...

Hi sumantochong, thank you the info. I am unable to find the store that u mentioned on qoo10. Do u have a direct link?

I am looking the Snapdragon 650 type in the 32GB ROM/3GB RAM version as I do some heavy gaming with my mobile & my Samsung A8 lags.

Hi..you can go qoo10 and search for

"XIAOMI REDMI NOTE 3 PRO Mobile Smart Phone / 32GB ROM / 3GB RAM / Snapdragon 650 CPU / Android 5.0 / Option For Redmi 3 Pro / Export Set with 6months Warranty"

The first result should be the listing.
Alternatively, you can go to aliexpress and purchase it.
However, most of the listing is Special Edition which is 2mm longer than China set. So you'll need to buy case/screen protector separately there also. Touch screen replacement is scarce and most likely you only can get it from taiwan service centre in the event you crack yours.

But what you get from the Special Edition is factory preloaded Global ROM with playstore(no problem in OTA updates whatsoever)
And some slight Band(radio frequency) difference which is negligible in SG

Hi stylechap, thank u for your help i have found it based on your recommendation.

Now i am more confused. May I know what's the difference between the Redmi Note 3 Pro and non Pro and Special Edition besides the size? The one sold locally by Xiaomi SG belongs to which version or edition?

initially, redmi note 3 came with mediatek and snapdragon processor.
the Pro means snapdragon variant, non-pro means mediatek
the Special Edition uses snapdragon650 and it only comes with 3G ram/32Gb storage.
the Prime used in aliexpress should mean 高配版 that is 3G/32Gb variant.

Official SG Mi brought in china set and only sells 2G/16Gb in lazada although their website also mentioned there is 3G/32Gb.
http://www.lazada.sg/mistore/

ultimately, it's best to find out in-depth,weighs the pros and cons(software/part replacement availability/warranty) and what you're purchasing from the seller before taking the plunge.

Mi Singapore has stop selling Redmi Note 3 (SD650) 3GB+32GB months ago, the 2GB+16GB is likely due to too much leftover stocks as people usually get the 3GB+32GB variant.

The Special Edition is specially catered for the Taiwan market as they have an extra network band to be supported.

Hello stylechap, thank you for the explanation. I have managed to find a few sellers. May I know how can I install a Global ROM?

Yes unfortunately Xiaomi SG has replied to my email saying that they only have the 2GB/16GB version of Redmi Note 3 left. Seems like they are getting ready to sell the Redmi Note 4 instead :(

By the way how do I identify the Special Edition?
