has this feature been removed from 7.3.2.0? I can't find it in
Setting > Additional Setting > Shortcut Menu.

Just use this one. I am using this one. Don't need root.

Those complaining ones don't bother researching one, they thought the legit way to get one is only via mi.com

Lol. Got Internet access to log in fb and yet don't bother to get info to buy elsewhere. I could get it from cee show but Damm lazy to drive down plus pay parking fee to get it there. That why aiming to buy from flash sale. Also read that telCo and challengers might not have stocks. Don't want to run around sg to search for it. I looking forward to get official sg MI max if avaliable.

This is indeed a very good phone. AC wireless is fast but the signal drops 2 bars when I use it behind a wall. This speed was achieved near the router

Xiaomi frequently update their MIUI, but not for their Android OS update. They're excruciatingly slow on Android OS updates, though what they say is their MIUI is more advanced than current Android OS versions.. :s22:

I just got this phone for a few weeks.
Decent performance.
2 nagging points I'd like to check with bros with this phone too.

1) Background hissing when playing music (earphone jack). Does everyone have this? I normally listen at very low volumes, so the hissing is kinda distracting.

2) Internal SD speed. The benchmark came out quite fast ~100MiB/sec.
However when transferring files via the built-in FTP server, I only get ~3MiB/sec. SpeedTest wifi I get ~200mbps, so not the wifi speed issue.
USB transfer also around 3MiB/sec.

2a) Anyone tried with a good fast microSD card, can the device actually write at the rated speed of say 20-40MiB/sec? Cause if it's the limitation of the phone, I don't want to plomb down money for microSD liao.

I got one for my wife a month back. Replaced her iphone 4.

She likes it, but a huge problem for her is that she's on 3G, and sometimes, the data just...drops. Disappears completely and she has to practically reboot the phone to get it going again. Anyone else have that problem of data just cutting out from time to time?
