Went to enquire about this phone from many shops in tpy.

All the local sets 32gb are selling from >$340

Export models are selling near $300, with the exception of one selling at $275.

Demand for this phone is really high.

Tried to update V7.3.6.0.LHOMIDD w/o success.
after pressing update.....there is a moving circle to indicate updating....but after 2-3 mins...the phone shut down.
Power up and log in....the phone was not updated.

anyone encountered this? (mine phone is encrypted for company email access).

Beta Stable 7.3.6.0 of past few days has became Global Stable 7.3.6.0, today..

MIUI states that got camera optimazation! Awesome!

Anyway, I just did a re-download/re-update using Updater to make sure I get the latest Global Stable version since I was already using the Beta Stable version yesterday!

I just bought 2 sets of export Redmi Note 3 32gb Pro version (gold) at narajan (along race course road) @ $240/ea

Interestingly, it is on global roam 7.3.2 and come stock with google play.

Apparently they are selling the India sets, which I think is a good hoot (no need to do anything much)

I was exploring the phone and found Google keyboard India and all pre installed.

For all others out there on budget, they got the snapdragon16gb/2gb ram version going at $195. But they only have black.

But note that they have only 7 day 1-1 warranty which I think is also better than buying from China website.

So far cheapest snapdragon 32gb rmn3 from Xiaomi tmall site is Remb 1099-1199, excluding shipping and the waiting time

No lah. The small round round thingy actually provides a small gap for the back of the phone to dissipate heat. Plus the 4 corners are slightly thicker to reduce the impact on the corners when we drop.

Thickness is just nice and it looks nicer when you see the real thing (personal point of view).
