6.9.15 is the Beta/Developer rom.

8.0.1.0 is the official rom. Xiaomi calls it Stable rom.

6.9.15 has more features that are not found on 8.0.1.0.

Yes! You will lose all data as changing or flashing in that matter, between Stable and Developer rom and vv is a total wipe out procedure.

Be it local or export set and be it the bootloader is locked or unlocked. It doesn't matter at all for Redmi Note 3.

Just leave it locked and perform the flashing.

Some Apps are working in Stable rom but not in Developer rom.

I have no statistic on that.

Apps aside. Go for developer rom.

Developer rom will not screwed one as it is produced by the official Xiaomi developers team. Not by other 3rd party teams.

The actual flashing process takes less than 5 minutes from start to end.

For a first timer, reading and understanding the guide as well as preparing / downloading all the required tools/apps for the flashing will probably take more than 30 minutes depending on the level of technical understanding or knowledge of an individual.

Nope! Nothing will be changed as far the device is concerned. Nothing to worry about that at all.

Warranty will not be void as well if you have a local set as the developer rom is produced by the official Xiaomi team.
