Hello rover75, thank you for sharing. My issue about getting the Special Edition is due to lack of casing and tempered glass protection availability because of the additional 2.5mm in height. I have a tendency of dropping my phones so I need a more robust case...

First world problems.

Aliexpress sells them too.
Look for redmi note 3 Kate should have quite a few listing. I bought the usd2.99 case+tempered glass(though i don't think its glass)

Note 3 SE case no issue - plenty on Aliexpress now not like a few months ago where I got to hunt high and low for it online.

Just do a search and remember to buy the 152mm type....

Ram management seems to be better. No lags or slow downs so far. I prefer it over the miui 8 bloated rom now. At least my gapps can select which I need so won't have much activity on the background.

Checked, a lot of them don't take care of the phone. Lots of damages.

Reason I am asking is cause they list their RN3 as Octo-core. Isn't this the Mediatek chipset? And Lazada doesn't allow seller-buyer communication.
